I scoured your archives because I had a burning need to express my annoyance about the fact that, during last night's episode, that Ketel One commercial aired every single commercial break. I'm annoyed, for one thing, that that commercial is still on the air and hasn't been an epic financial failure for blatantly excluding at least 50% of the vodka-swilling market. And for another thing, I'm annoyed that the commercial is probably aimed at the Mad Men audience because a good-sized chunk of the Mad Men audience doesn't get the point of Mad Men. The fact that it played every single commercial break tells me this 'when men were men' bullshit is commercially successful even with an audience that's watching a show that illustrates what bullshit that bullshit is. Bullshit: It annoys me. I don't go to clubs anymore, but I'd bet these days the perennial club mooks are sporting white button-downs with gabardine sport coats and drinking plain vodka on the rocks. Amirite?

Yeah. Pete’s had the anti-villain thing going for the past few seasons, but I’m sort of praying that Roger and his “I totes dicked you over BUT YOU SHOULD STILL LIKE ME!!!” thing gets another wake-up call this season.

Also, my best friend is going through a divorce that looks pretty much exactly like that: he had an affair, he blames her for making him have an affair somehow, thus she is an evil unforgiving bitch who doesn’t deserve half the assets.

@Gnatalby: Oh, I don’t know. It seems like Peggy was looking out for number one, as they say. If there was a bejammer involved, which was already considered pretty out-there at the time (seriously: see Updike, Valley of the Dolls, all manner of boundary-pushing sexy sex stuff – oral sex was considered downright perverse) I doubt that Peggy would not have asked for due compensation.

@Ashley: HA, right on with the Roger=Baltar thing. I always thought Pete was the Baltar of the show! But Roger does have the decadence and entitlement down better than Pete does. I don’t know, maybe they can have a Balt-Off. I’d watch it. On Pay-Per-View!
