There are many things that we, as a people, can learn from the “Cathy” finale. The most important, however, appears to be that once you are married and pregnant, your life story is over. “LADY GOALS: ACCOMPLISHED. SHUTTING DOWN SUBJECTIVITY UNIT,” the little text display behind your eyeballs will read. You will be surprised, because you did not know you had a little text display behind your eyeballs! All surprise will cease as quickly as it began, however. For after this message, there is only the Blue Screen of Death Motherhood.
Also: Cathy’s fetus is fully conscious, and can use language? (In “Cathy,” “AACK” counts as language. “AACK” is practically its own language.) Any bets as to what Cathy’s little girl is going to look like?
The one known as “Irving” shall fear the touch of the Gom Jabbar!

I cannot imagine a better way to start the morning than a Dune-based Cathy joke.
And to think, she managed that without manipulating the bloodlines of noble families for thousands of years. Truly, an incredible time for women!
this is mad decent
on the bright side, Cathy is over.
Once you get married/pregnant, there’s no point in having a strip any more…life is over and done and now you just wait to die!
Cathy was still being published?
The Dune picture is awesome. Totally.
It sounds like the laziest storyline to end a comic series, ever. Very similar to all romantic comedies so I guess it should be lauded with all the appreciation we can bestow.
I love how often the gom jabber appears in TBD. On the virginity post and now here. Neeeeeeeeeeerds!
Also: of COURSE Cathy’s fetus is aware and verbal– life begins at conception, don’t you know!
@GNATALBY: I didn’t think I could like Cathy any less than I already did, but your “also” has just shown me the way.
Wait. Cathy’s a Bene Gesserit? All right, who the hell gave Cathy the Water of Life!?
